Agility Foundations 2:
This 5-week class will help you as a handler learn to know your dog, how to work
as a team, and maintain a positive connection with your dog. Build handling skills to improve your dog’s focus and give them mental stimulation. Teach your dog movements
to help them use their body, build their core, and strengthen their rear for jumping, running, turning, stopping and balance.
Dates: Feb. 23 - March 29, 2024 (no class March 8)
Time: (1) 6:00 - 7:00 pm; (2) 7:15 - 8:15 pm
Class Fee: $100 same price for members and non-members
About the Instructor, Rhonda Meath:
During her 30-plus years of GSD handling experience,
Rhonda has earned 250+ AKC titles in Obedience, Rally, Agility, Scent Work and Fast CAT; including 15 Master and Preferred AKC Agility Champion titles, and the 2015 GSDCA
Agility Victor! In addition to being a GSDCMSP and GSDCA member, she has volunteered and been a board member for the St. Paul Police K9 Foundation, the Minneapolis K9 Foundation,
Skylar’s Scholarships and Saving Shepherds of MN as well as starting a therapy dog program for juvenile offenders with Anoka County Corrections. Rhonda truly loves competing with
her GSDs along with educating and teaching others about this noble breed!

Scent Work:
Unleash your dog’s natural ability during this 6-week class while you discover the world of Scent Work and
explore this extraordinary skill your dog has! This engaging sport, inspired by professional detection dogs, challenges dogs to find scented cotton swabs hidden in
designated areas. It is a rewarding adventure that builds confidence and teamwork between you and your k9 partner. Join us as we explore the captivating world of
Scent Work!
Dates: March 29 - May 31 (no class April 12)
Time: (1) Introduction to Scent Work 7:00 - 8:00 pm; (2) Intermediate 8:00 - 9:00 pm
Class Fee: $150 for members and non-members
About the Instructor, Laura Newland Laura has been a club member since 2016 who has served as a board member and dog trainer. With over 7 years of scent work training experience, she has received the AKC Advanced Scent Work title and NACSW titles in Containers and interiors. In addition, Laura has earned titles in Fast CAT, Rally, Conformation, and Tricks. She is sharing her passion and expertise in Scent Work to enrich the club’s canine community.
